MUDRA THEMES:
Governs third eye chakra. Activates self-healing, solves problems, accesses intuition and boosts memory. Focus, balance, clarity.
How can you create more space in your day for moments that nurture your heart and soul?
This mudra asks you to spend more time honouring your earth body and incorporating more healing practices into your day.
This might mean meditating daily, moving your body more, having a bath, or finding a skilled reiki practitioner or masseur.
If you are required to focus on a project right now or you’re in the middle of exams, Hakini will help you focus and access useful information for completing these tasks. It can also be used on the go for memory recall.
Performing this multipurpose mudra fosters harmony between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. It helps you feel centred and grounded and activates your body’s self-healing powers.
Evoking the power of Hakini opens doors and allows energy to flow and shift, giving you permission to be kind and gentle to your body. In turn, this forges a connection with your eternal self.
MUDRA:
Bring the tips of the left- and right-hand fingers to touch lightly. This posture is usually held in front of your heart chakra. But if it feels right for you, you might also like to try it in front of your third eye chakra. With eyes open or closed, direct your gaze or awareness towards that chakra. Relax your shoulders and imagine you are holding a sphere of light between your hands.
AFFIRM:
Earth and star unite at my centre, harmonising and bathing my essence in love.
Author’s note: I’m always amazed at how many people perform this mudra in their day unwittingly. Start looking, and you will see it too. The body’s intelligence is incredible — it knows what will support it!
